- Large trail of blood at assumed crime scene.
- No murderer found, no body, no weapon.
- No witnesses, other than the receptionist who saw the body being dragged around the corner. She made the call.
- Bloody knife found in trash can. Whether it relates to the case is unknown.
- I fit perfectly within an imprint on the floor at the crime scene.
- Keep Criminal Mastermind in mind for culprits. The mystery surrounding this case leads me to believe it's just his kind of crime.
- Trail of blood goes from lobby to shipping/receiving room.
- Trail of blood goes under garage door in shipping/receiving room.
- One "Grand Homme" recieves and sends out shipments for the hotel.
- Grand Homme has yet to clock out tonight.
- Custodial Staff clocked out just five minutes before the murder was reported.
- Grand Homme's last shipment was just ten minutes before the murder was reported.
- All other "backroom" employees clocked out much earlier.
- Strange, overly-realistic sticky note found in shipping/receiving room.
- Someone left a churro in the paper recycling bin.
- The churro was wrapped in a note - a schedule? - that's all smudged up with oil. Says something about meeting with the gang and letting S* do his thing.
- Custodial Staff does not keep his office clean. Cigarettes, pens, and paper are all over the floor.
- Every day in February has been crossed off so far, besides for today the 14th. CS also circled today's date.
- CS clocked in at 10 this morning.
- CS seems to have started working at the hotel on the fifth of January. GH has been here for far longer.
- The computer in CS's office looks like it hasn't been used in a long time. Lots of dust. No keyboard.
- Dangerous Dealer, member of the Twilight Gang, left a note for me in CS's office.
- The Twilight Gang is responsible, but like DD says in his note, I don't have much connecting this case to them.
- The blood is blood. I'll be honest, I'm not sure why I verified this.
- The receptionist was on break when the murder happened. Just before she went on break, she saw a large man with a droopy hat come in.
- The same large man just came in a few minutes ago. I figure that's who I heard being yelled at earlier.
- Grand Homme spends most of his time in the shipping/receiving room. Recently, he's been spending time with Custodial Staff in his office.
- CS's computer has searches for North Street Diner, one of Criminal Mastermind's fronts.
- A big guy came in before the murder and asked people to go upstairs, according to the doorman. Seems likely that this is the same big guy that the receptionist mentioned.
- Big guy confirmed to be none other than Heavy Bodyguard, member of the Twilight Gang.
- After reviewing the evidence, I've got a hunch that the murder itself was perpetrated by Silent Killer, member of the Twilight Gang.
- Thought about the Twilight Gang more and where their fourth member, Courteous Scammer, fits into all this. I realize now that it's highly possible he's been posing as Custodial Staff for the past month.
- Upon looking all around the hotel, it appears that the police have completely left?
- Custodial Staff had left a letter of resignation in his office. Effective tonight. It's possible Courteous Scammer used this job as a way into the hotel.
- Found a fingerprint on the computer monitor. Seems that someone in here decided to pick up a little dust.
- Examining the knife gave me a couple interesting pieces of information: the code "CCC-0402" stamped into the handle, and the same fingerprint that I found off the computer. Seems possible that this knife was involved in the murder.
- Inquisitive Dame showed up to help with those prints I found earlier. Turns out that they're all Silent Killer's. Must have had the knife at some point and swiped the dust off the computer at some point.
- I thought through it: CS was their in for the hotel. HB cleared out the lobby. SK did the crime. DD, presumably, got SK the weapon. Just need to put it all together.
- Someone's been in the shipping and receiving room. Garage door's open. Keys are gone.
- Someone knocked me out when I stepped into the alley behind the hotel. Seems like this case is getting more interesting.
- Whoever knocked me out took the churro note, the knife, and the fingerprint. Makes it more likely that they're connected to the Twilight Gang.
- Seems like the person that knocked me out was in a hurry.
- There's a body in the dumpster I was tossed in behind the hotel. He's tall, got a hotel nametag on, and there's a bad stab wound in his stomach.
- The body's hands are bigger than mine, so he probably isn't our murder victim. He's our new murder victim.
- The hands are rough and calloused, too. Guy might do some more physical work.
- It appears to be Grand Homme, an employee here at the hotel, seemingly is - was - a good friend of CS. Obviously turned south somehow.
- Thankfully, I'm not the guy. Or, the guy isn't me.
- The receptionist confirmed that Custodial Staff started working at the hotel last month.
- She also confirmed that Grand Homme and CS were good friends, in some way.
- GH has been described by the receptionist as "shady, but nice all the same." My theory that he was an accomplice has some backbone to it now.
- The murder victim's outline is too small for GH. The guy's just too tall.
- GH sent something labeled as "Food Waste" out to 1301 12th Street right around the time of the murder.
- Inquisitive Dame reminded me of something important over the phone: 1301 12th Street is in CM's turf.
- The address that GH sent his last shipment to is an alleyway. 1301 12th Street doesn't exist.
- Looks like GH and CS were friends! Petite Femme, the receptionist, mentioned it to me, saying that they often went to the Steelworker's Pub. - ID
- The Steelworker's Pub is the Twilight Gang's hideout. - PD
- PF doesn't seem to think CS had any other staff members that he was close to. She even says he's pretty non-talkative. - ID
- CS left GH a note on a business card from Midnight Manor, CM's apartment building. I think something went wrong, though, since the card was all torn up. And GH's body being in the dumpster, that too. - ID
- I called the number on that business card, and at first, no one picked up - until I mentioned SK. That got someone's attention, but I don't know who they are. - ID
- I figured out who's on the other side of the phone! I tried to think of who it'd be: maybe Courteous Scammer, an actual Midnight Manor employee, or Daunting Muscle. I was glad to find out it was the latter. Despite his name, he's a big softie. - ID
- DM doesn't seem like he knows anything, which is pretty weird. He doesn't know anything about any murder, and he doesn't know where CM has been all night, either. - ID
- Amiable Bartender at the Steelworker's Pub mentioned that a group of four sketchy guys were at the pub earlier tonight - from his description, it must have been the Twilight Gang. - ID
- AB seems a little wary when it comes to giving information about his customers - I guess that makes sense with his clientele, but it did strike me a little odd. Mentioning that I was with PD helped, though. - ID
- AB is a nice guy. He just has a less than ideal position where he is. You know, being the bartender at a pub that used to be a criminal hotspot. - PD
- CS was apparently researching what it's like to be a bartender a few years ago? Just makes me think that he was preparing as many scams as possible. - ID
- A few years ago? Could have been during the Takeover of 10th Street. The Twilight Gang wasn't formed yet, but CS was definitely doing his thing. - PD
- There's an old shipping invoice in a trash can near 1301 12th. Seems like CM uses this address as an in-between for shipments.
- MS confirmed that GH hung out with the Twilight Gang. Interestingly, he only showed up to the Steelworker's Pub with CS and HB. - PD
- MS mentioned that Amoral Attorney and his brother - DM - come to the Steelworker's Pub, too. She also referred to AA as something I won't repeat but full agree with! - ID
- Apparently, the Grand Hotel isn't doing great. Wealthy types don't like the "help", which I can only assume means CS and GH. Could always check the hotel again to see if there's anyone else. - PD
- GH came to the Steelworker's Pub celebrating a new job he got, and started buying everyone drinks. - ID
- I figure that job he got was with the Gang. Seems possible that job didn't go as planned. - PD
- AB gave us a receipt that the Twilight Gang left at the pub - it's from the Big City Bank, which is owned by CM. - ID
